Cobie Smulders Lets the JewelMint “Bermuda” earrings do the talking
May 18th, 2012 — Fashion Trends, Handbags
Cobie Smulders, who rocked her ‘The Avengers’ promo tour with amazing dresses, joined her “How I Met Your Mother” co-stars Jason Segel and Josh Radnor at the 2012 CBS Upfronts held at The Tent at NYC’s Lincoln Center yesterday.
The 30-year-old “The Avengers” actress looked dainty in the white mesh Rebecca Minkoff “Mistral” dress (from the Spring 2012 collection) that featured cut-outs on both sides of her toned tummy. The $328 mini dress Cobie wore to the event looked amazing on her, but it was the accessories and makeup that totally made this look.
Cobie Smulders added a pop of color to her outfit with a pair of coral suede pumps and matching coral lip color. To add glitz to her attire, the actress went with a golden box clutch and a pair of JewelMint “Bermuda” earrings. These unique 2-and-a-half gold-plated earrings with triangular enamel detail and sparkling crystals were designed by actress Krysten Ritter to benefit Autism Speaks. She finished off with an updo, styled perfectly to show off those earrings.

Makeup Spotlight: Nicole Scherzinger Oozes Drama from Head to Toe
May 18th, 2012 — Fashion Trends, Handbags
Nicole Scherzinger joined Will Smith and the other “Men in Black 3” stars for the UK premiere of their film held at Odeon Leicester Square, London yesterday… and added drama to the blue carpet with statement jewelry, a unique floor-length gown and solid hair and makeup.
The 33-year-old singer wore a black Cengiz Abazoğlu gown (from the designer’s Fall 2009 Haute Couture collection), which featured a structured corset with intricate 3D winding detail, an edgy peplum detail and a thigh-high slit (that she rocked ala-Angelina Jolie). Nicole paired it up with Swarovski crystal-embellished black Giuseppe Zanotti ankle-strap heels and accessorized with Adeler rings and Vanessa Leu jewelry that included a smoky quartz cocktail ring with pave diamonds and a pair of statement smoky quartz earrings with silver diamonds.
The former “Pussycat Dolls” star wore her long hair in a voluminous twisted updo and added color to her outfit with a glamorous deep red pout. Nicole Scherzinger then finished off with black winged eyeliner, mascara-filled upper lashes, sexy bronze eyeshadow on the lids and a bit of smokey eyeshadow above the crease.
We think her dramatic makeup, hairstyle and dress was appropriate for the premiere of their alien-themed film. How about you? Do you think it was over-the-top?

Eva Longoria joined Diane Kruger and Freida Pinto as the ladies with the most head-turning outfits at the red carpet for the premiere of “Moonrise Kingdom” held during the opening ceremony of the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival yesterday
The 37-year-old actress, who just finished her stint at Wisteria Lane after “Desperate Housewives” concluded at the end of its eight season, made a grand entrance at the 2012 Cannes by wearing a Marchesa mermaid gown (From the Fall 2011 collection). The lilac and silver embroidered gown featured an illusion open back and a long tulle train that surprisingly didn’t make her seem as petite as she really was.
Eva Longoria wore a pair of Brian Atwood pumps underneath her stunning train. She then accessorized with a bejeweled Marchesa box clutch and Damiani earrings. Longoria finished off with a bouffant updo, neutral makeup and smokey eyes.

Freida Pinto attended the “Moonrise Kingdom” premiere during the opening ceremony of the 65th Cannes Film Festival yesterday and came prepared as one of the best-dressed (alongside Diane Kruger) for day 1 of Cannes. The actress proved she wasn’t afraid of getting all sparkly with her dress, accessories, shoes and even with makeup.
The 27-year-old Indian actress wore a unique Michael Angel dress, which featured a colorful crystal-embellished bodice, a scrunched up semi peplum, and a pink draped skirt with thigh-high split. Freida Pinto paired her leg-baring dress with a thin silver waistband and accessorized with colorful jewel-encrusted Louis Vuitton lizard miniaudiere. She finished off with a pair of shimmery Louis Vuitton platform sandals and a magenta tear-shaped ring with diamond and green stone accents.
Wearing her hair in a sweeping updo, Freida showed off a pair of Chopard diamond earrings with stunning emerald stone. She then went with pinkish nude lips and added drama to her look by opting for smokey eye rimmed with silver eyeshadow.
