Last week, Chloe Moretz was everywhere promoting her film “Hick.” She continued her busy work week Monday night, starting with the LA premiere of “Dark Shadows” at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, followed by the UK premiere at London’s Empire Cinema earlier today, May 9. Check out what the young actress wore to both premiere events…
At the LA premiere, the 15-year-old actress wore a blue jacquard Stella McCartney dress (from the Fall 2012 collection), which featured long sleeves, a godet skirt and black printed details throughout the dress. Chloe paired up the knee-length dress with her black pair of Jimmy Choo “Lance” sandals, which seems to be a favorite for Moretz recently. Wearing her blonde hair down, Chloe accessorized with only an onyx ring and
Chloe Moretz joined her “Dark Shadows” co-stars on the purple carpet in London earlier today, wearing a red Alexander McQueen dress (from the Fall 2012 collection) that featured a stunning embroidered design. Chloe wore the same black leather belt included in McQ’s runway version, which we think looked great paired with the McQ ankle-strap pumps (from the Fall 2012 collection).

Elizabeth Banks is really going bold with her fashion choices and most of them are working quite well (take her Met Gala 2012 dress as an example). At the NYC screening of “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” yesterday, the actress continued her fashion streak with a very intricate dress and a pair of “pretty pumps.”
The 38-year-old actress, who worked alongside J-Lo, Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison, Anna Kendrick and Brooklyn Decker on the upcoming film, wore an intricate dress from Peter Pilotto’s Fall 2012 collection. The knee-length dress featured cut-outs and a key hole on the bodice, floral beading all through the dress and side slits.
The dress may have wowed many, but we think the black Walter Steiger “Pretty Pumps” (from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection) that featured a curved heel stole the attention from her dress. Elizabeth Banks then accessorized with a House of Lavande ring and a Judith Leiber crystal-embellished fold-over clutch.

First up is Karolina Kurkova, who looked every bit of a supermodel at the 2012 Met Gala, proudly wore a custom-made Rachel Zoe gown. Her rose gold, long-sleeved gown featured sequins throughout the dress, an open back, a train and a matching sequined turban. Karolina also accessorized with a gold Rachel Zoe clutch.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley represented Burberry for the night, wearing a custom-made Burberry gown designed by Christopher Bailey. Her lurex gown featured long sleeves, black and brown stripes, and onyx beading throughout the collar. Rosie accessorized with a bronze minaudiere and triple drop earrings. She finished off with a super high bun, smokey eyes and an old rose pout.

Gisele Bundchen went Givency from head to toe. She was dressed in a black Givenchy heavily beaded gown (from the Fall 2010 Haute Couture collection), which featured tons of sequins and beads, a central split, and a matching black belt. She paired up the sparkly gown with sexy black sandals from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection and accessorized with a black box clutch.

Rosario Dawson opted for an edgier look with a body-hugging, black leather gown from the Calvin Klein Collection. What was exciting about her outfit was the fact that the actress paired the black gown with a bright blue Fred Leighton drop earrings and a beige clutch, which both gave a contrasting appeal to her look.

We were expecting Sofia Vergara to rock the red carpet in a body-hugging dress, but her choice made us a bit excited. The actress wore a silver Marchesa gown (from the Spring 2012 collection), which featured a pleated tulle bodice and silver-embroidered illusion details. She finished off with Harry Winston jewelry.

Hilary Swank braved the red carpet in a red Michael Kors dress. The custom-made chiffon dress featured a tie-neck detail and cascading skirt. She paired it up with a golden pair of Michael Kors snake chain, ankle-wrap sandals, a gold Michael Kors python barrel clutch and Fred Leighton jewels.

Rihanna looked amazing in a black Tom Ford crocodile gown (from the Fall 2012 collection), which featured long sleeves and an open back. She paired it off with Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” pumps, extremely long black nails and an edgy bun-filled ‘do.

The two caped crusaders of the night were Met Gala first-timer Lana Del Ray (left) and heiress Bianca Brandolini D’Adda (right). Lana wore a silver Joseph Altuzarra sweetheart gown under the floor-length black cape. She paired it off with diamond jewelry and smokey eyes. Bianca Brandolini D’Adda, on the other hand, got blinged to the extreme with a gold Dolce & Gabbana gown and a matching cape and clutch.

Stars from Glee, Twilight, and other young Hollywood actresses also went to the 2012 Met Gala wearing edgy, princessy, and classic dresses from some of the well-known designers in the fashion industry. Check out what Kristen Stewart, Lily Collins, Dakota Fanning, Emma Roberts, Dianna Agron, Nina Dobrev, Ashley Greene, Lea Michele, Shailene Woodley and Emma Stone wore to the event…

Kristen Stewart, who is the face of Balenciaga ‘s newest perfume, wore a color-block dress from the Fall 2012 collection of Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière. The knee-length leather and silk dress featured digitally-printed black and silver snake on the wool jacquard bodice, a v-neckline, and a pencil leather skirt with blue, dark purple and pink color-blocking design. Kristen left the black leather gloves (from the runway version). Her black Balenciaga lace-up pumps (from the Fall 2012 collection) were just as edgy as her dress, but would probably get a love/hate reaction from you fashion lovers.

Lily Collins chose a romantic Valentino sheer lace gown (from the Spring 2012 Haute Couture collection), which featured long sleeves, lavender floral underlay and a girly bow waistband. She paired it up with the gray Valentino “Shine Vison” snakeskin clutch and added glitz to her outfit with H. Stern jewelry.

Dakota Fanning also looked like a real-life princess at the Met Gala. The actress chose the lavender Louis Vuitton tulle and organza gown, which featured floral ribbon embroidery on her skirt. As always, Dakota wore minimal makeup and styled her blonde hair only with a girly clip. She added glitz to her dress with Fred Leighton jewelry.

Emma Roberts was a breath of fresh air, as she opted for a marigold custom-made Escada gown. The strapless silk gown featured a peplum detail, a short train, and a sapphire satin belt that nipped her waist. Emma paired the classic-looking dress with a sparkly Swarovski clutch and the Bvlgari “Serpenti” 2-row diamond bracelet.

Dianna Agron’s picture doesn’t do justice to her gorgeous dress, which was one of the best of the night. The “Glee” star was dressed in a green Carolina Herrera silk organza gown, which featured a draped peplum and a matching green snakeskin wrap belt (both from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection. She paired it up with silver Sergio Rossi “Cachet” leather peep-toe pumps and accessorized with Judith Leiber “Everglades Avenue” crystal clutch and Fred Leighton jewelry.

Nina Dobrev, who was also one of the best dressed last night, opted to go with a stunning Donna Karan gown. Her one-shoulder, black and gold Donna Karan Atelier gown featured a long train that simply popped up from the red carpet. She let the gown do the talking and kept her accessories minimal, opting for just a pair of H.Stern star earrings.

Kristen Stewart wasn’t the only one who was showing off an outfit from a brand she represents. Donna Karan ambassador Ashley Greene also rocked her brand’s dress, as she was dressed in a white custom-made Grecian-inspired Donna Karan Atelier gown, which featured a stone sequined bustier, silk chiffon pleats and draped skirt with a train. She paired it up with a metallic clutch and silver drop earrings.

Lea Michele went with an edgier dress, opting for a dark blue Diane von Furstenberg sequined, which featured a fringed necklace, a thigh-high slit and a sexy cleavage-baring v-neckline. She paired it up with Christian Louboutin tweed slingback heels (from the Fall 2012 collection), Diane Von Furstenberg “Tonda” clutch (from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection) and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Shailene Woodley took the knee-length Christopher Kane floral leather dress (From the Fall 2012 collection) and turned it into a full-length gown for the Met Gala. The gown featured colorful wire and floral embroidery with a contrasting black leather panel details. She finished off with no other accessories, except for diamond stud earrings.

We almost didn’t recognize Emma Stone last night at the event since we were excited to see an edgy dress from the actress, but instead saw her wearing a very “cute” Lanvin outfit custom-made by Alber Elbaz. The mini red satin dress featured crystal flowers embroidered throughout the dress. Emma paired it up with custom-made black Lanvin crystal hair pins and a black pair of Lanvin H11 satin pumps (from the Fall/Winter 2011 Ready-to-Wear Collection).
Although these younger celebrities didn’t go with “in your face” bold dresses like the 10 Head-turning Dresses at the event, some of them did dress pretty well. Which of these young actresses dressed the best? Sound off below…

Celebrities and big names from the fashion industry joined together for the Schiaparelli and Prada ‘Impossible Conversations’ Costume Institute Gala held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC yesterday. It was a night filled off feathers and beading. Check out who wore some of the most head-turning dresses at the event…

Beyonce was one of the early birds, who definitely came prepared. The singer wore a black Givenchy Feather and Bead Gown (from the Fall 2012 Haute Couture collection), which featured a sheer stretch-tulle full arm sleeves, beaded crystal lace applique and black ostrich feathers cascading down the sides that blended into the purple ostrich feather train.

Scarlett Johansson went with a nude Dolce & Gabbana gown that featured off-shoulder sleeves, tulle skirt, and gold embroidery details with crystal embellishments. She added glitz with diamond jewelry and finished off with a coral pout and wavy ‘do.

Leighton Meester dressed with drama in mind when she chose a stunning Marchesa gown to the event. She went with a nude tulle dress from the brand’s Fall 2012 collection, which featured golden applique throughout the dress and poofy tulle at the hem. She finished off with a gold Marchesa clutch and an eggplant-colored pout.

If you pick only a handful of celebrities who could rock any outfit for the Met Gala, Florence Welch would probably be one of those few. The singer looked effortless in an Alexander McQueen organza dress (from the Fall 2012 collection), which featured a tiered skirt and dandelion embroidery. She finished it off with a matching embellished sandals with an armadillo heel and a white clutch (both from Alexander McQueen).

Elizabeth Banks chose a two-piece outfit from Mary Katrantzou (from the Fall/Winter 2012 RTW collection). The digitally printed top had an oversized peplum, while the printed maxi skirt featured a central split. The actress finished off with Christian Louboutin “Un Palace” sandals (from the Spring 2012 collection), a red clutch and a chic updo.

Camilla Belle went with an old Hollywood theme, as she dressed up in a slinky silver Ralph Lauren gown (from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection), which featured a cleavage-baring neckline, sheer sleeves and intricate beading. She paired it up with Ralph Lauren vintage collection art deco jewelry and a pair of champagne Ralph Lauren python sandals with bamboo heel. The dark brown lips sealed her vintage look.

Carey Mulligan was one of the early arrivals at the event for her co-hosting duties… and made sure to turn heads with a custom-made Prada halter dress, which featured gold and silver paillettes in different sizes and a pleated detail at the back. She paired up her shimmery knee-length dress with bronze satin Prada pumps and finished off with a retro updo.

Milla Jovovich went with a bold red dress from Prada. Her flapper-styled double-satin dress featured a plunging v-neckline with black trims, a shredded skirt and onyx floral embellishments. She paired up the fun dress with red and black Prada “Raso” jeweled clutch and black Prada peep-toe pumps.

Jessica Alba was literally sparkling in a golden one-shouldered Michael Kors lame gown, which she paired with Brian Atwood “Bellini” sandals (from the Spring 2012 collection). She added more glitz to her outfit with gold Roger Vivier “Pilgrim Pailettes Coeur” clutch and a pair of Wilfredo Rosado gold and diamond drop earrings.

Kirsten Dunst didn’t go with a flashy dress, but her outfit was definitely a stand out. The actress went with a custom two-piece Rodarte, which featured a dress with floral lace bodice and pumpkin-colored wool crepe skirt. She paired it up with a matching orange double lapel jacket that had a thick black leather belt (straight from the runway).

Michelle Trachtenberg joined Lucy Liu at the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards yesterday held at NYU Skirball Center in NYC wearing a sexy all-black outfit with smoldering eye makeup.
The 26-year-old actress, who will be starring in the 2013 Science Fiction comedy flick “Sexy Evil Genius,” wore a sexy sleeveless Rebecca Taylor dress, which featured a sheer lace with bustier searing, lace trim and a high-waist gathered skirt. As if that wasn’t sexy enough, Michelle Trachtenberg then paired it up with Dolce & Gabbana black patent leather pumps with leopard-designed lining and sole.
Michelle Trachtenberg accessorized with a silver Carlos Falchi “Preview” fold-over python clutch, added a gothic necklace from Erickson Beamon, and then finished off with deep red nail polish. Wearing her chestnut hair into a ponytail (which we think looked a bit messy), Michelle went with glossy light pink lips and intense smokey eyes that included black eyeliner, extra lashes with dabs of mascara, and gray and bronze eyeshadow. Fortunately, she didn’t go the Taylor Momsen makeup at the event…her look had just the right amount of smokiness for that edgy look.
The actress posed and chatted with Lucy Liu who also sported a black dress at the event.

Aside from Alexis Bledel, Lucy Liu also attended the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards at NYC’s NYU Skirball Center yesterday, wearing statement pieces from three different brands. Do you love or hate the look?
The 43-year-old actress, who was cast as Joan Watson for the upcoming American Sherlock Holmes adaption “Elementary,” wore an all-black outfit to the event. Lucy Liu paired her Etro blouse with some awesomely three-quarter length poofy sleeves with a black Dolce & Gabbana pencil skirt, which was tied together by a thin leather black belt with a golden lip buckle detail.
Lucy Liu went with black Casadei pumps. To counter all the black details of her outfit, the actress accessorized with gold and black rose-shaped Etro statement necklace and metallic multi-color Honor clutch.
Lucy finished off with a sleek ponytail, coral lipstick with matching coral blush, and smokey eye makeup that included extra upper lashes, black eyeliner on her lids and taupe eyeshadow with a hint of silver.
We think the accessories she chose for the outfit made the all-black ensemble work. It also helped that Lucy seemed perfectly comfortable with the two-piece dress. What do you think of her look?

The Hunger Games’ “Foxface” Jacqueline Emerson and HBO “Veep” star Anna Chlumsky wore the same dress in the span of one month. Who wore it better?
Jacqueline Emerson wore the black short-sleeved Cynthia Rowley dress with graphic watercolor print (from the Spring 2012 RTW collection) at the 13th anniversary celebration of NYLON Magazine held at the Smashbox Studios on April 10. The 17-year-old actress paired it up with bronze pumps and accessorized with a black clutch.
Anna Chlumsky wore the same knee-length dress to the 27th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards yesterday, but the 31-year-old opted for black peep-toe pumps and no accessories except for a pair of earrings.
Both actresses wore their mid-length hair down and chose light pink lips to their respective events, but Jacqueline went with barely-there makeup while Anna wore smokey eyes with a hint of silver eyeshadow.
Who do you think rocked the dress better? Sound off below…

Alexis Bledel attended the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards held at NYU Skirball Center yesterday, looking so effortlessly elegant in a subdued metallic number and gorgeous old Hollywood makeup that made her stunning blue eyes pop more than usual.
The 30-year-old actress, who began her 8-episode stint on the drama “Mad Men” this week, looked like a 15-year-old girl who knew how to dress really well. She wore a stunning sheath dress that had gold, white and cream stripes. Alexis Bledel paired her knee-length dress with golden accessories, including a gold pair of leather woven sandals and a gold clutch.
Alexis decided not to accessorize much with her Spring metallic dress, except for a pair of floral earrings. Instead, she added a pop of color with bold red nails that she matched with her red pout. Bledel wore a bit of pinkish blue around the apples of her cheeks, then finished off with slightly smokey eyes with a hint of gold eyeshadow that just tied all the pieces of her outfit into a mix of modern glam with classic Hollywood style.

Carmen Electra celebrated her 40th birthday at Crazy Horse III and Posh Boutique Nightclub in Las Vegas Saturday night, showing off her legs and teaching celebrities half her age how to rock a mini dress.
Electra didn’t look any inch a 40-year-old woman as she paraded in a short “Single” green dress, which featured tons of sparkly sequins throughout the itsy-bitsy dress that hugged Carmen’s body perfectly the way she likes it. She paired off the leg-baring dress with a tri-color Christian Louboutin stilettos (in gold, silver and metallic green).
As if the green pieces of her outfit weren’t enough, Carmen Electra continued with her theme by accessorizing with a gold and green satin clutch. Interestingly, the entire look worked quite well without looking overloaded in green (unlike Kelly Osbourne’s purple outfit). Probably because she kept her hair down with loose waves and went with glossy pink lips and extra smokey eyes with a hint of bronze eyeshadow, instead of going green with makeup as well.
